Municipality of Groningen looking for ways to connect urban living, agricultural landscape and water life at their newest development Meerstad.
Target
Create a characteristic floating house that fits naturally in the green environment attracting city citizens and water sports enthusiasts.
Action
Think of a house boat as a floating barn and add all spatial and esthetic features of a barn to a boat. Add character and new looks to the typical house boat.
Result
A family of boats. Or a family of barns. Or a family of characteristic floating houses. You pick your choice, in any way these residential units enrich the banks of the Meerstad Lake.
