Barbastro’s central Avenue is conceived as the main urban space in the city with priority for pedestrian use, improving accessibility from all sides and main arteries, reducing road traffic, redirecting the flows, improving illumination quality, including new useful furniture and understanding the local willingness to maintain the traditional use of the elevated central walk, to reconcile the use of the urban space to 'stay in' and enjoy a better urban connection from the different parts of the city. The initial proposal was conceived as smart solution with the implementation of two different systems for monitoring irrigation and dumptser capacity, by urbiótica, a company offering smart solutions for cities.
