「BAR FORT HORSE」
An authentic bar that focuses on whiskey.
The place is in the eating and drinking area directly connected to the station building in Kitahama, Osaka, and it is a location that will be an oasis for people working in the city center.
"FORT HORSE" was named for the bar that was opened independently by the owner who worked for 18 years at a long-established BAR.
“FORT”
The time spent here is undisturbed and means that the store will be a "fort" to protect visitors.
“HORSE”
By using the horse, which is an animal closely related to whiskey, as the store name, the idea of being familiar with "that horse store" was put into it.
Whiskey is an ancient Gaelic word, and is said to have its origin in "water of life."
From there, I thought about it and decided to give the elements of Celtic, which have a high affinity for whiskey and its roots, everywhere.
The entrance door and bottle shelf, which are also the faces of the bar, are inspired by the divine graffiti drawn by Macintosh, and use the truffle beach with a pattern randomly created by nature.
The door makes you feel as if the gods were descending, and even the origin of life like the waterfall splashes from the spring.
Smoked eucalyptus was used for the counter and wainscot, which are the main characters of the bar.
The strength of the horse's back is expressed by the top plate, and the wainscot is cut into tiles, and the graphic is designed with the image of the Celtic pattern, and each one is engraved with a laser.
According to the L-shaped space and the kitchen plan, we aimed for two different places with counters of different heights.
The floor that is the approach to this is the stone pavement of the traditional English "carriage inn".
The world view drawn by the owner was completed by pouring a sense of relief like a fort that is firmly protected and a sense of dynamism into the space.
