The existing restaurant and beach club lacked a Mediterranean feel and a fluid indoor outdoor interface. These were addressed at the outset. Firstly, the building was whitewashed and natural materials were introduced to complement the already tranquil context. Secondly, a target was set to channel the four key foci - the sea, the views, the breeze and the shade – directly to the customer so that the interior manifests itself merely as a sheltered extension to the outdoors.
