The Avery house project is a home and studio for a prominent Artist located within a conservation area in Islington. The project involved the extensive remodelling and extension of a Victorian Town house across two stories to create a contemporary living space. The conversion is focused around a new mediating object-stair that projects over the garden to orchestrate views, and movement through the interior living spaces. The design has involved both restoration and invention and the choice of materials has formed an important component of the design process. Spatial 3D modelling was heavily utilized for the design, delivery and building information generation on the project.
