We designed this home, a fusion of modern and coastal, for a sea-front plot of land in Malibu, CA. This property is being constructed on a steep hillside, so we had to conceive a structure that worked for the unusual lot and city's low height requirements. We created a nautical-inspired home by incorporating many strong architectural elements that mimic shapes seen in ships. Generous view-facing glass walls overlook the Pacific from every room. A circle pattern repeated throughout the home mimics bubbles that float on the tides in the ocean below. High end materials will be used in construction, per the request of the clients who want a lavish holiday home.
