AVA's design concept revolves around parametric architecture, which emphasizes the use of algorithms and computational tools to create intricate, organic shapes and forms. This approach allows for a dynamic and visually stunning facade that adapts to the environment and complements Dubai's futuristic skyline.
The arrival experience for residents and visitors starts out with an unexpected disconnect from the urban realm as they leave the street and city noise and slowly begin their path of discovery towards their destination. Screened off by cascades of waterfalls, the building gradually appears as an isle, completely surrounded by an edgeless body of water that seamlessly extends towards the sea in a perfect continuity.
The design and shape of the island is in resemblance of a palm tree when viewed from above. It consists of a trunk and a series of 17 fronds, or leaf-like segments, radiating from the center. The outer crescent acts as a breakwater, protecting the inner areas from the open sea. We were inspired by the organic concept of the development, and it is reflected in the organic outline of our high-rise residential tower, that parametrically shift as you ascend vertically.
