Featured in the REDCAT Now Festival 2007, Autopilot is a performance
piece that presents a kind of war trauma. Bureau V collaborated with
playwright Jane Pickett and director Lars Jan to create the environment
for the unfolding barrage of mirages and memories that appear as a
downed American fighter pilot searches for water. The environment is
produced through a kind of video foley, where a small overhead camera
captures the live manipulation of small household objects housed in a
glass vitrine.
