Three large openings act as pinhole cameras framing one of the most spectacular views of the red roofs of Cesena. The design idea starts from the breathtaking panorama on which the apartment overlooks and intends to redefine the internal environments as if they were observation devices. This allows the intrusion of the external space and at the same time preparing the client to reconnect, once they have crossed the threshold of the house, to the surrounding landscape just left. To create a single, bright and spacious living area, it was necessary to invert the arrangement of the night-day areas with respect to the pre-existing state, modifying the internal routes and the distribution of services. In addition to the recovery of the existing beams and the replacement of floors and finishes, work was done on the design of the furnishings using natural and authentic materials such as oak and iron. All the works foreseen in the renovation employ dry technologies and, despite an average height well below the standard, they do not give in to any compromise and bring the work to the highest technological standards available in new buildings.
