Atlassian George Street is the third commission by the same tech-company client to be executed based on the new workplace design framework developed by EC3.
Spread across two floors on levels 25th and 26th in a spec office building in Sydney’s CBD, the 2,500 square meter space will accommodate the engineering department; and will serve as the main hub for Atlassian’s software development teams and its interns.
The kid-of-parts of design features from the San Francisco workplace, including video conference rooms, video conference booths and private phone booths are organized around an existing central elevator core to define team neighborhoods that could be easily reconfigured to respond to the demands of team structures.
A sculptural stair connects the two levels as focal point of social encounters; informal gathering and breakout paces are distributed around the central stair as well as throughout the team neighborhoods to enable impromptu meetings and collaborations.
