Inside the building, the first space we enter into is the Reception area. The architecture shapes this area into a grand double height space which is surrounded by glass on three sides. The interiors are designed to compliment this. This area sets the tone for the entire office. The space is grand and welcoming while also retaining a minimal and elegant demeanour. The material palette is minimal and raw with tones of grey, brown and white. The space is entered through grand wooden doors and the first thing we see is the courtyard on the opposite side. The two sets of furniture in the area are the reception table and waiting area. In the sea of greys and whites, the reception table is highlighted by using a large beautiful raw copper coloured stone. The furniture in the waiting area is set in neutral tones against an exposed concrete wall as the backdrop. On the ceiling is a sleek and contemporary chandelier accentuating the height of the entire space.
On moving ahead from the reception area we enter into the Corridors around the central courtyard. The courtyard with its Teak wood ceiling and leather finish Kota stone flooring adds a touch of tranquillity and balance to the entire office. Towards the right are the three Owner’s Cabins. The first cabin has a Lounge area adjacent to it. A wall between both these spaces features a large artwork by Ahmedabad based artist Rutva Joshi. All the artworks in the office are custom made beautifully by Rutva to reflect the context of the real estate company.
The VIP lounge of the corporate house is where elegance meets contemporary aesthetics. The exquisite leather finish Kota stone flooring sets the stage for grandeur, while the exposed concrete wall creates a striking backdrop for the plush beige sofa. The sofa is complimented by a breath-taking mural depicting Ahmedabad around the serene Sabarmati River meticulously carved in Agra red sandstone by Rutva.
The Owner’s cabin adjacent to it is the largest cabin in the entire office. It has full height glass windows on two sides and a captivating exposed concrete wall forming the backdrop for the head table. The side tables are custom designed to smartly incorporate switchboards within them. This cabin has hints of luxury displayed with its sleek marble topped table and grey upholstered sofa and comfortable armchairs.
The first and second cabins are separated by a narrow courtyard between them. The second cabin has glass windows on three sides. The head table is sleek and contemporary. The structure of the table is stripped to its bare minimum while also making it extremely sturdy, which is then topped with wood and marble. All the details creating this table lend a smart and clean outlook to it. The seating area features another beautiful artwork by Rutva Joshi. The artwork and the table top are similar in their colour tones which helps hold the space together visually. This thread artwork is an abstraction of a site plan with lots of intricate details making it the perfect highlighting element of the space. The design of the space conceals most of the accessories and services like all the other spaces which greatly organises the aesthetics as well as the functioning of the space.
The last cabin has full height glass windows forming one corner of the space. According to the requirements of the client this office features a relatively bulky table which fulfils its function efficiently while also blending with the aesthetics of the rest of the space. This space generously uses a beautiful grey and white marble. It is used for the head table and continues into the feature bookshelf wall which is cladded entirely in fluted marble with uplit wooden shelves.
Beside the cabin is a Staircase that leads up to the first floor which holds the resting spaces and an entertainment lounge. The staircase is in leather finished kota stone and has alternating smaller wooden steps creating an interesting composition. This is accompanied with another beautiful threadwork art by Rutva.
Adjacent to the staircase is the conference room. This room surrounded by glass on three sides. Its neutral colour palette coupled with minimum furniture placements makes it a calming functional space. The featured furniture is a large conference table with solid round legs concealing all the plug points and switches inside it. As it is a gathering space a set of playful yet sleek hanging lights are placed above the conference table. The TV unit is a seamless wall hung storage in veneer complimenting the conference table. Moving beyond the conference room is a set of grilled doors that connect the inner courtyard to the outer gardens. Ahead of the doors is a work area dedicated for future possible expansion of the company.
The Puja Room is an elegant space with a generous use of marble in two different ways. The wall is cladded in white fluted marble with black vein patterns and a single table with circular legs finished in a contrasting black coloured marble stands in front of it. A large idol in white stands out from atop the table in the entire space.
Placed further in the opposite corner is the Dining space. To hold the essence of a community space that a dining area is, we have designed a single continuous U-shaped table which helps facilitate conversations and more interaction among the colleagues. This space also has a corner formed by full height glass windows, from which one looks over to the outer landscaping and the smaller one into the inner courtyards. Out of the other two walls, one is highlighted in raw exposed concrete while the other holds a console and a small window connected to the kitchen. A single elegant profile light borders the ceiling and holds the space together. The dining table is finished in veneer and topped with granite.
Sharing the inner courtyard with the dining area are the Meeting rooms. The two meeting rooms are designed exactly identical to each other, separated only by a clear glass wall. The execution of this idea is extremely clean which lends a sense of illusion to the spaces. From inside any of the meeting rooms, the other room seems like a reflection instead of it being perceived as a completely different room. The singular table in a meeting room is made with wood and topped with glass. The joinery for the wooden legs is designed to be exposed. The flooring is finished in Kota stone and alike the other spaces these rooms also feature a single exposed concrete wall. These rooms also contain a TV and unit each. The unit shutters are covered in strips of wood. This lends an elemental factor to the spaces.
The first floor comprises of resting spaces, an entertainment lounge and a large open terrace space. The Entertainment lounge features a smart black upholstered lounger along with two tan leather finished armchairs and simple geometric coffee tables finished in veneer. A neutral beige coloured rug holds them all together. The room also features a pool table and a TV unit. Standalone switchboard modules stand as functional but aesthetic elements in the space. The room leads to a private terrace area.
