A total renovation of a private home in 2014 - the house was originally built in 1964.
The focus on this project was to make a functional home to grow in. Layouts were design so they could adapt to changes as the family would grow.
It started in the small - but ended up beeing a total makeover both indoor and outdoor.
All walls and ceilings were removed, giving a oppertunity for a completely new layout.
There is only one window in this house that has the same size and postion as the original house.
It's a house with many levels. Bedrooms are small - so for the kids bedroom, the bed is built in place and liftet 120cm from the floor, giving a play area underneeth or space for a cosy sittingarea later on as they grow.
The open kitchen / dining / livingroom area has some big windows to capture the beautiful view and bringing nature in. The transformation of this house has been amazing, the new stair makes this a multu story house rather then a house with a basement.
There are a lot of smart solutions in this house, and the levels have not restricted any of the plans. The bathroom by the main entrance is for example liftet, since that part of the layout is actually a part of a one level lower, but the wish for bathroom on both sleeping levels gave this solution. To make a functional bathroom, we needed to steel 20cm of the depth of the kitchen, but just in a small part. So cabinets are not as deep in the whole kitchen area.
The lowest level was for the first years just a big tv room, but with windows positioned so the possibility to devide it would be possible in the future.
A major change has also been made on the outdoor area. For now we will just make the pictures speak for them selves, another specific porject might be made for just the garden design later on.
