The site informs the design of a prolific community and art activity inclined urban structure and the Artisan Tower’s reaction is to complement these ground level activities for it to connect to its context. People can gather and use it as they would public spaces. The architecture of Artisan Tower relates with the majority of buildings in the village. Through articulated elements which are also present among its neighboring structures like; balconies, fenestration, and columns it continues the architecture of the place. It is important for the design to adapt to its site context to produce a sense of continuity of Salcedo Village’s character and not steal the place’s energy. Its design also answers the problem of absence of good views by clearly delineating the direction of the view corridors and then by transfiguring its floor plates that would properly direct the interior spaces to these good views.
