This apartment is the combination of two studio apartments in an Art Deco building in New York City. The beautiful Art Deco features were restored including the iron-work windows, beamed and cove ceilings, sunken living room and original oak flooring.
The living area is open to the dining area and kitchen creating an expansive, spacious feeling bringing light from the large ironwork windows the front door. Pre-war elements were re-created with the use of restored light fixtures and cabinetry, and the use of subway tiles, and blackened brass accents. Storage was added to every niche in order to maximize the small space. Open book shelves were built around the door openings, niches in the bathrooms, etc.
