How does one create a restaurant that is trendy and warm whenfacing limited budgets and tight deadlines? That is exactly thechallenge that FX Studio design overcame brilliantly.Drawing its inspiration from the Dumbo NYC concept as well asTel Aviv and Los Angeles’ restaurants, the space had to embodya modern feel yet create an inviting ambiance that wouldenrich the client experience. All this with only $ 20 000 forconstruction.The choice of materials and colour played an essential role inachieving the desired result. The decision to keep the ceilings inacoustic tiles was self-evident; a touch of paint was all that wasneeded to create a concrete effect and breathe new life intothem without losing their interesting properties. Looking tocreate a design where the materials bask in harmony, woodbecame the natural choice to balance with the concrete effect,allowing a well-rounded integration of the furniture with thearchitecture. What’s more, the design of wood tables contributesto the idea of an integrated design as it became possible toinclude the graphic signature; the menus are actually engraved inthe tables! To crown it all, carefully considered traces of warmcolors, gold and orange, add to the interior design that nowenhances the experience of eating a burger in a trendy Plateaurestaurant.
