The project is inscribed within a set of blades all perpendicular to the canal. The first strata, on the street side, are hollowed out, cut out, in order to offer exterior spaces in the heart of the building. The exterior spaces are then declined in the form of courtyards and wide landings for access to the dwellings or in balconies and private terraces. The apartments are all through-going, and develop over these three layers, and are organized around the collective or private outdoor spaces. The entire project develops around these notions of layers and hollow work. The facades are sculpted, and allow the interior of the building to be seen, while letting the light in.
