The restaurant and lounge Hoyo 19 is an extension of the golf course, embodying its significance and character. It is a refuge for golfers seeking a new gathering and community space before or after their game at Arrayanes Country Club.

A golfer is immersed in a unique relationship with the natural environment. Movement, displacement, and promenade through scenarios framed by nature, yet not bound by a specific rhythm or time. A golf course, beyond being an opportunity for athletic development, represents a meeting point for those pursuing enjoyment and recreation, as well as interaction and social connection. It is a place for competition and a space for strengthening interpersonal relationships.

Situated at the edge of the fairway, the location of Hoyo 19 is unique. The project aims to marry up the best qualities of the site: the sporting dynamism of the green at hole 18, the communal activity of Plaza de las Banderas, and the serenity of a small forest. The entrance plaza is designed as an exterior foyer that connects with the existing elements of the context. The building offers a spatial framework that maintains a constant connection with the golf course and surrounding nature, interpreting the club´s architectural style in a contemporary and transparent way.
The architecture of Hoyo 19 materializes as an extension of the landscape using elongated planes and horizontal lines that accentuate the site. From the ground to the edges, two stone walls rise containing the space and framing the building. The composition of planes and volumes proposes a harmonious integration with the course inviting users to explore the space in an organic and multidirectional way. Walking the project means experiencing movement through a continuous spatial sequence where space is completely open.

Hoyo 19 is structured into three main areas, each characterized by its use and location: the sports bar, the restaurant, and the lounge. The interior revolves around the bar which acts as an active heart that organizes situations and flows. The restaurant serves as an extension of the golf course's social character. It is a space that rises in height and directs views outward accommodating any type of event. In contrast, the lounge offers a space of greater privacy, calm, and intimacy embraced by the forest. Both spaces stand out for their transparency, and both extend into the landscape through terraces that blur the boundaries with the course via sliding glass doors. From any corner of the building, it is possible to observe and feel the excitement of each hole.

Inhabiting Hoyo 19 is experiencing golf through an interior design that outlines the warmth of a characteristic space evoking the classic aesthetic associated with the sport. Wood and leather tones meet with touches of dark green which is a color that responds to the golf´s historical iconography. This gives space visual identity, tradition, and exclusivity. The textures and iconic patterns of golf attire are found in detail such as the tartan that covers the floor and the memorabilia that decorates the space, accentuating the site´s character.

At night, Hoyo 19 lights up with details of illumination that emphasize the space, the architectural gestures, and the events taking place inside, always highlighting those who inhabit it.
