AURORA 01
This project is a renovation of a SOHO located in Higashi-Koenji, Tokyo.
Responding to the building’s curved geometry and white exterior, the interior is reconfigured as a restrained and continuous space composed of a single white surface.
Rather than fixing specific functions, the space secures operational flexibility through movable furniture and a projector, accommodating a range of activities such as social gatherings, meetings, and free-address working.
By composing architectural elements with precision, the project seeks to establish a neutral environment in which living and working coexist without hierarchy.
Additionally, a movable bed concealed behind curtains allows the space to be reversibly reconfigured, supporting temporary stays such as those of interns.
Within the constraints of the existing structure, the project aims to acquire spatial adaptability through architectural operations.

本計画は、東高円寺に建つＳＯＨＯのリノベーションである。
建物がもつ曲面形状と白い外観に応答し、内部を単一の白い面によって連続する、抑制された空間として再構成した。
用途を固定するのではなく、家具やプロジェクターの可動性によって運用の自由度を担保し、懇親会・打ち合わせ・フリーアドレスなど複数の活動を受け止める場としている。
建築的要素を精度高く構成することで、住居と仕事が序列なく重なり合うニュートラルな場の形成を試みた。
さらに、カーテン背後に可動ベッドを設けることで、空間を可逆的に切り替え、インターンなどの短期滞在にも応答する。
既存躯体の制約の中で、建築的な操作によって空間の可変性を獲得することを目指した。
