Armani Hotel & Residences Diriyah is a culturally significant project by Diriyah Company, that reinterprets the Saudi heritage through a contemporary lens. Located in the historic Diriyah area, the design blends Armani’s signature elegance with Najdi architectural principles, celebrating contrast, detail, and discovery.

The hotel embodies Giorgio Armani’s design philosophy of understated sophistication. Clean lines, curated materials, and a minimalist sensibility shape spaces that heighten the sensory experience. A central theme throughout is the portal, inspired by Najdi traditions of framing views and guiding movement. Reimagined in the Armani context, portals take the form of windows, doorways, and perforations, subtly transforming each transition into a moment of anticipation and reflection.

The arrival sequence sets the tone, from the brass-inlaid approach courtyard to the transition through an arrival portal, culminating in the Tower of Light. This journey, layered with cultural references and Armani’s refined aesthetic, establishes a mood of calm grandeur.

From there, the Tower of Light, a four-storey vertical lobby, is the architectural centrepiece. Drawing from Najdi design’s interplay of light and shadow, it offers a dramatic spatial experience. Filtered sunlight moves through perforated surfaces, constantly evolving and creating a space that is meant to be felt as much as seen.

Courtyards anchor the hotel’s spatial planning, linking key areas such as the Armani Café, restaurants, and Armani Square. Adaptive and atmospheric, these outdoor spaces evolve with the day, from relaxed lounges to evening event settings, supporting the refined lifestyle of guests.

Key amenities include the Armani Ristorante overlooking Diriyah Square, a rooftop pool with panoramic views, a spa, and retail spaces along Grand Avenue.

The Armani Residences span two plots; with each residence entered through a private courtyard and sikka-inspired pathway. Signature features include softly lit interiors, floating staircases, and backlit Onyx. Penthouses offer expanded views and elevated privacy, with courtyards that open to Diriyah’s skyline. Every element is designed to create a seamless, immersive living experience rooted in context yet timeless in execution.
