Arion is a chain of bookstores in Rome, and
they’d like to integrate inside one of their stores an ice-cream shop, as
alternative to the traditional coffee shop.
The ice-cream shop and his workshop are settled
next to the bookshop, and are two rooms separated by an arch.
The inside of the ice-cream shop call forth the
exhibitors of the bookshop: the ice-cream counter and cash desk are two pure
volumes which intersect on one side. The chosen material is corian, and also colours
repeat those of the library (the exhibitor white and red bench of the box).
We’ve designed pendant exhibitors, made by tie
rods in tubular metal and white corian, equipped with a fastening system for
shelves at various heights. The shelves, according to the height at which they
are placed, can be used as a strut to eat ice-cream, to read, or to expose books
and products for sale.
The workshop is separate from the shop by a
transparent window, that allows you to observe the preparation of ice-cream.
