Wall system
We wanted to create a flexible, repeatable and
module system, in order to serve at best independent bookstores Arion, which
have ever-changing showrooms.
The idea starts from the classical spatial
distribution of libraries and wall bookshelves: by distorting the traditional
bookshelf shape we have maintained unchanged exhibitors on the wall, and
integrated them with independent modules.
The bookshop is distributed on two levels: the
first on the street level is the entrance floor, consisting of two consecutive
spaces, and the second is placed at a lower level, which is also composed of
two room. At the first level, there are three large windows that let you see
from the outside the shop and its activity: in our project we wanted to keep
them and exalt them, since they become at the same time the diaphragm and a place
of communication between interior and exterior.
