Arica 1090 improves its surroundings with a simple gesture: it gives space back to the street and turns it into a place for people. Developed for Morada, the project proposes a contemporary, sustainable architecture designed for the neighborhood’s everyday life. On the corner, the main volume is held by diagonal columns and set back to create an extension of public space from the semi-basement.
That setback isn’t left empty. We transformed it into an open area with benches and gardens—a place to pause and meet that adds urban quality and strengthens community life. Inside, a central courtyard and open-air corridors connect the homes and encourage a relationship between the private and the shared. At the same time, they ensure natural ventilation and daylight in every apartment.
Arica 1090 is a building that doesn’t just blend in. It contributes—shaping the city and improving the way it’s lived.
