Project Description:
In the architecture of Arghvan Villa, it is important to investigate the issue that architecture and climate have a close relationship and mutual effects on each other. Paying attention to climate and environment plays an important role in design. In such a way that design and construction is not possible without knowing the backgrounds and influencing climatic and natural conditions, and human comfort conditions must be provided in such a way that the use of fossil energy reaches the minimum possible level, considering the harsh environmental conditions. .
The design of this villa was a classic villa based on the request of the client. But despite the architecture of Yazd and its context and the client's justification based on the modern design and intervention of the original design of Yazd, which was created based on the laws and climate of that city, this villa has been formed, and all the client's wishes in this villa have been met. The principles of correct design and accurate understanding of the design environment and platform are provided.
In this villa, it has been tried to have a dense and compact plan based on the climate and environmental conditions and the weather prevailing on the architecture in order to optimize fossil energies and modernize the buildings of Yazd according to the architecture of the same city, and thus the levels The exterior of the building is minimized in relation to its volume, the density and compactness of the plans and floors minimizes the amount of heat exchange in winter and summer and causes the greatest possible shade to be created on the surfaces.
Effective factors in determining the form of the house from the perspective of dominant architecture in Yazd city
The six main variables in determining the house form are: physical factors, construction materials and technology, site and location, economy, defense, and religion.
materials
Mainly in Yazd city, clay and mud are used in the walls. Basically, clay, mud, and soil store the outside heat inside during the day, and when the weather is cold at night, the heat stored inside the wall material is transferred to the interior space.
According to the construction rules and regulations of the country, the use of clay and mud materials as load-bearing elements has not been practical, so the designers have used concrete as the main element of the building according to the dimensions of the plan and the number of floors.
The wall and outer shell of the building were made of a combination of brick and cement painted with light color (white) and plastered with moisture resistant plaster.
