In our opinion, one of the advantages of Konstantin Melnikov, as an architect was that he could masterly dispose not only with the elements of the planned composition, but also to make space, that is “void”, bet ween elements the basis of the composition. As an example, the project of the USSR pavilion at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1925. In this project, the space above the stairs is a diagonal axis of the composition, and combines part of the pavilion together. And there are many examples such a masterly use of "void" in the work of the architect.
We are also, in turn, decided to use the "void" and form of it part of our pavilion, so this transformation would be visually read. In our project, "emptiness" of window and door openings is transformed from one side to the hall with a sloping floor to the other in a staircase leading to the upper level of the hall. The pavilion wall is taken as basis, similar in design and its details from one of the walls of the main volume of the pavilion "Makhorka" that Konstantin Melnikov built in 1923. Thus, our pavilion consists of three main elements, a wall, a multipurpose hall and a block stairs.
The hall of our pavilion can function as a hall with a dipping screen for video classes, and as a place for exhibitions. Also here you can take music, art, games and just relax, lay carpet on the steps of our room.
The basis of the design of the pavilion is laminated board, steering with board on the example of the pavilion "Makhorka." The side ropes of the ladder are made of sheet metal, stages are wooden. Elements of the pavilion can be assembled in production, delivered and installed in place.
We hope to see you on the steps of our pavilion.
