Organic curved pods form the architectural structure of the custom-designed playground.
Frasers Property’s new Eastern Creek Quarter features an Australian-first 'revolving retail' concept as part their entertainment precinct 'ECQ Social'. Within the activated outdoor space features a custom-designed playground conceptualised by Arcadia Landscape Architects.
Arcadia’s concept called for organic form pod play structures. The structures were to be elevated from the ground plane and act as the connectors between play elements.
Tilt was initially engaged in completing a design study to review the concept and assess the feasibility of construction and core playground compliance.
We were then engaged to manage the detailed design, construction, and installation – considering site integration, user experience, materiality, safety, and ease of ongoing maintenance.
The custom designed pods provide a unique aesthetic and are coupled with a range of proprietary play elements to deliver an engaging play experience for a range of ages.
