Archipelago is a trans-urban development located within the Bedok Reservoir residential enclave. Inspired by the tranquil reservoir and the surrounding verdant landscape, the architects sought to create a series of homes that would epitomize stylish modern living in the heart of nature.
The underlying idea with the Archipelago design was to bring natural elements right to the doorstep of each home. As an extension of the reservoir and the surrounding greenery, the grounds of Archipelago are typified by lush landscaping. Beginning with the landscaped entrance where a spectacular circular drop-off formation boldly introduces the property. From there a series of landscaped contours continue to draw attention towards a succession of cascading linear plateaus. Comprising expansive water pools interlaced with island decks, and recreational pools made with stepped surfaces to resemble grottos, these linear plateaus add a natural touch to the development’s shared spaces.
Building forms within the Archipelago development feature a curvilinear roof profile. The roofs are lined with intricate interlocking sunshade ledges, creating an interesting patterned composition reminiscent of natural forms.
Comfort and tranquility were the foremost consideration for the Archipelago design. Homes feature abundant natural light that permeates throughout the day, together with natural cross winds and ventilation that helps create a luxuriant setting. Where the combination of stunning scenery, impeccable landscaping, and impressive amenities evokes the joys of true resort-style living.
