Project of Archaeological Park "Pontes", which I called "Trajan's Tribune" is my student project.Archaeological site containing the remains of Trajan's bridge over the Danube and the remains of military fortifications - so called Castrum, near the bridge.Pylons are only preserved from bridge and they are under water for because of hydropower plant "Iron Gate" built in the 1970th, which is raised the level of water. Archaeological remains of castrum are mostly covered with ground. The project idea was to secure the site from further deterioration as well as its presentation and affirmation. It also criticizes the idea of empire, emphasizing the so-called tribune like symbol of superiority, but which it ending with sudden drop if you go to far, which is the counterpart of the collapsed bridge and collapsed empire.Visiting the site was designed from two starting points (for land and water traffic) through the archeological remains: through underground paths, paths on surface, underwater and above water from viewpoint (tribune). A huge area of the site is equipped with a boat dock, and underground car and bus parking, winery (with production and sales), restaurant, educational and research center, outdoor and indoor mini theater scene and a viewpoint (tribune) with cafe and gallery.
