Due to the small size of the land and the lack of landscape, the main concept in this project is to introduce a fifth façade that would act as a green area. From the existing grid structure and the basic volume that result from it, vertical and horizontal shiftings are operated in order to create a roof terracing. The terraces are landscaped to provide green areas, both private for the suites and public for the common spaces of the hotel. Cantilevers and openings are created toward the surrounding views.
The entrance of the project from the north dives the visitor into a triple height partly embedded lobby that open-up toward the outside garden through an impressive landscaped stairs. The two first basements floors are mainly dedicated to the lobby lounge area, entertainment (ballroom, restaurants and bars) and SPA.
On ground floor, restaurants expand outdoor toward the most public exposed areas. Starting from ground, the 79 rooms - divided in 4 types - are mixing according the building architecture’s variations. In the upper floors of the hotel, the swimming pool and roof top restaurant enjoy an amazing view on the surrounding.
The bright stone and bright wood materials used in the façade merge the building in the surrounding environment.
