Apothecary Hall, located in downtown Waterbury, Connecticut, is an adaptive reuse of a vacant office building. This building housed the Apothecary Hall Pharmacy for 70 years and acted as the center of Exchange Place in Downtown Waterbury.
63 Bank Street is a gut rehabilitation of an existing seven-story building in historic downtown Waterbury, CT. The upper floors are converted into residential apartments and the ground floor into a commercial space. The facade of the building was restored to its original appearance, including maintaining and repairing all decorative elements, such as molding, cornices, and faux balconies. The inside of the building has new interior partitions, energy-efficient heating and electrical systems, and water-efficient plumbing systems.
The luxury rentals bring life back to downtown Waterbury while maintaining the historical integrity of the community in their revitalization efforts. The project has received funding from Connecticut Light and Power and Yankee Gas for included energy-efficient measures. It is also currently listed on the National Registry of Historic Places.
