“Apartments in Kyprou” is a residential project, that presents a striking fusion of natural materials, bold geometry, and lush greenery, resulting in a building that feels seamlessly integrated with its environment. The structure is composed of multiple expansive horizontal slabs, each extending generously beyond the façade to create deep overhangs that provide shade and visual rhythm. Between these planes, textured stone blocks rise vertically, functioning as both structural elements and sculptural features. Their organic, rugged appearance contrasts beautifully with the clean, refined lines of the floating platforms above.
Contrasting with these monolithic elements are a series of polished mirror-finish columns that catch and reflect the landscape, sky, and shifting light throughout the day. These reflective surfaces introduce a sense of weightlessness, subtly dissolving parts of the structure into its environment and enhancing the floating effect of the extended floor plates. Their interplay with the stone volumes creates a compelling dialogue between solidity and transparency.
Lush greenery woven across every level softens the architecture, transforming the building into a vertical garden that blurs the boundary between built and natural forms. The result is a contemporary tropical retreat that balances bold materiality with delicate reflections, offering an elevated experience rooted in nature yet enriched by modern design.
