Building on the shared understanding between residents and architects that the division of leisure and work, private and public, within the world, the state, the city, the neighborhood, and the home, are in a sense obsolete, the project reduces the new elements in the apartment to those that reinforce the feeling of interconnectedness between the living areas. The interventions in the fixed elements of the architecture – walls, floors, ceilings, cabinet furniture – are of pure geometry and also work towards strengthening the connections between spaces, by means of thoughtfully allowing natural and artificial light, views, noise, and groups of natural vegetation.
