Objective of interior creation in this apartment was to get the biggest open space with a single separated bedroom. This is why the original disposition of the entire premises of 75 m2 was completely changed and after removing of all non-bearing walls and partial adjustment of the premises was this objective fulfilled. Restored oak tree floor and white colour of walls created perfect background for a mixture of used styles and materials in the interior with emphasis on the overall harmony. Its result is a composition of carefully selected furniture and decorations from the 70’s and older by present times in a combination of tailor- made items. Each item has been looking for a place and a place was looking for its item. Used metal objects create not only colour contrast with soft materials such as carpet or textile, old wood with an old or new plastic and glass used on the accessories. Joy from play is dominant, however, the practicality is also not forgotten. Ground-floor apartment with orientation to the South on a calm suburban part of Košice perfectly combines harmony between a functional work environment and unconventional living.
