This interior project, developed by OBJCT Studio, explores how traditional forms can be reinterpreted within a contemporary living space. The concept draws inspiration from vernacular wooden architecture — not through direct imitation, but through subtle references in texture, rhythm, and proportion.
Palette and material structure
The color scheme combines warm-toned wood, a rich orange accent, and clean white surfaces. This restrained set of materials brings character to the compact apartment while preserving a sense of visual openness. Each element is chosen to support lightness, clarity, and function.
Integrated layout and zones
A fireplace is seamlessly integrated into the main volume of the apartment, forming a dedicated reading nook with a built-in bookshelf, a lounge chair, and soft lighting. This corner becomes a quiet point of focus within the open-plan layout.
Minimalism with cultural depth
The entire interior is built around simple but expressive solutions. The design language is minimalist, yet layered with meaning — a balance of modern functionality and cultural resonance. Every element is calibrated to contribute to a cohesive environment, where form follows intent.
