Redevelopment of an existing home
The project involves the renovation of a residential apartment in S.L., conceived as an integrated intervention combining spatial reorganization, infrastructural renewal and the definition of a new interior language.
The complete redesign of the building systems made it possible to introduce a new bathroom and upgrade the overall functional performance of the apartment.
The living area was entirely reconfigured to create a fluid and continuous space, organized around a circular circulation path connecting the entrance to the main living space and providing a secondary, functional access to the kitchen directly linked to the entrance.
Spatial perception is enhanced through the use of a single continuous flooring material — laminate — which visually connects the different areas and contributes to a sense of spatial expansion.
Within this open and fluid system, built-in furniture elements take on an architectural role: inserted volumes that articulate the space, define functions and guide movement without interrupting continuity. The project thus establishes a balanced relationship between technical infrastructure, functional layout and spatial quality, where architectural elements interact seamlessly with everyday living.
