The 18-storey residential block features 124 units apartments with facilities like swimming pool, sky park, cantilevered gazebo, children playground, gym, cafes and car park.
NAUTICAL VIBE
The site is located at Sitiawan, Perak Sate of Malaysia, a town surrounded by a port, a navy base, ship yards and fishing villages. Inspired by the town nautical vibe & culture, the sun-shading panels for the units are crafted to create the silhouette of wave and sail. Multi-level green balconies strap the core of the building to serve as soft biophilic weather shield to the communal areas at the core.
The units are designed to face north & south, away from tropical east-west sun path, to achieve reasonable natural thermal comfort without relying on air-conditioners. The south-west sea breeze provide substantial cross ventilation for each units especially those on the higher levels.
Equipped with full height windows, all units will enjoy spectacular aerial view of the town and the sea beyond.
FLOATING TOWER EFFECT
The residential tower has been lifted up from the car park podium to produce 'floating tower' effect. The open space between the tower and the podium has been adorn with sky park & outdoor socio-recreational facilities. Shaded by the tower above, these outdoor facilities become conducive to be used all day long in tropical weather, even between 11pm - 4pm, under hot afternoon sun.
SEA BREEZE CROSSING OUTLET
This middle air open space also let the south-west sea breeze thru despite obstruction from the residential block. The sea breeze's role in removing urban heat island effect will not be disturbed due to this building.
