The dominant yet largely invisible programmatic concern of this Soho
loft space was to accommodate the clients’ extensive and revolving art
collection and to integrate it into the program of living. Our design for this
project stemmed from the premise that creating spaces that work at the scale of
walls and rooms for the art collection could be balanced by the details to
build complexity into outwardly simple forms. This layering of scales filled
the design with a fineness and depth as the vistas blend with the minute scale
of touch.
