This SOHO loft serves a a New York home to London based resident. The classic New York loft is sprawling by definition. Without thwarting this we
wanted to create clarity and a sense scale within the open space. We used an
undulating installation of lights that spread across the space responding to
the individual zones of occupation to unify the overall space while defining
two lounging areas, the kitchen and the dining area. Private spaces
were located in the rear of the space and tailored to the specific needs of the
users. This project also incorporated a variety of custom elements, including
millwork, lighting and custom towel hooks mounted to a heated wall.
