The apartment is located in a house situated in beautiful mountain surroundings. Therefore what we love about the winter and why we come to the mountains – the snow, sun and ice – are the main principles blending through the interior. A motive of sun in combination with a snow flake is used in two unique ceiling lights in the living area. The bar evoking an ice cube is clad with backlit glass of sand blasted ice texture.
Similar ice texture motive is used for the cladding of the sauna, free standing in the relaxation area, like a large ice cube, illuminated in blue. The blue colour of the clear sky is used in further light fixtures in individual spaces, as well as in the staircase, as a gate flooded in blue light, leading to the upper (floor) level.
Individual and various surface textures are used throughout the interior in wooden flooring, wooden furniture, the fireplace clad with lime stone strips and also in the cladding of walls leading to the living area. Additional textile textures are applied in the warm bed spreads and on fireplace seating.
In the sense of the original concept, two tables - dining table and conference table - were designed, inspired by the spatial structure of a snow flake.
