The building was erected as an apartment building in Mokotów, one of Warsaw best districts.
Clients wish was to design an elegant and modest architecture of modern feeling but reminiscent to the past of Mokotów.
A gray brick was one of materials commonly used in apartment buildings of 20th and 30th of XXth century, the period of great development of Mokotów.
Facades of our building presents an elegant combination of lightness and modern feeling of white glass with tradition of the gray brick.
One general rule was transferred to all facades. All north and south faces , parallel to the street are made of brick, all east and west, faces, perpendicular to the street are finished with white glass. Each floor is separated by steel profile so the brick faces between separate windows play with each other, making facades alive.
North facade opened on the street and neighbour buildings is "closed" in character, combined of small windows and elegant brick faces. South side of the building, with the public garden in front of it, is an "open" facade of big windows and wide balconies. The bottom of balconies is finished with wood to provide warm and nice feeling for its users.
The building accommodate nine smaller, individual apartments on first three floors and two top levels are occupied by one luxury apartment with two storey living room, dining space and all other subsidiary area.
The development is an intelligent building with advanced thermal insulation and solar protection systems for optimising energy consumption. The building uses only LED lighting, again reducing exploitation costs. All systems in the building are controlled by KNX letting its users remote control of all parameters.
