The Anythink Huron is a place for community and learning. This 25,000 sf library invites patrons of all ages to experience the surrounding landscape within the comfort of a quiet reading area, teen wing, dynamic tree house, computer lab, study room, meeting room or multipurpose space.
The Anythink Huron is located seven miles north of Denver in Thornton, Colorado, a city dedicated to the quality of life and the environment. The suburban 4.2 acre site of the library is connected to the community with a bike path along Niver Creek to the south of the site and a small community park to the north.
The entry to the library is intimate and inviting allowing the building to expand out to views of Niver Creek and the Rocky Mountains. The interior is open and full of light with small rooms tucked away in book stacks waiting to be discovered.
Three unique tree houses are located at the entrance of the children’s area. They are each wrapped with bark and stand over 14 feet high encouraging people to look up in awe.
The Anythink Huron is a LEED Silver certified building and a symbol of sustainability to the community.
