Planned as a villa development in Gurgaon, one of the upcoming suburbs of NCR, the Ansal Versalia is an integrated township, set in the midst of the contemporary, picturesque Millennium city. Located off the Golf Course Extension road, the villas are planned with great connectivity and easy access to Sohna road, close to the proposed metro station. The township has a mix of luxury 3 & 4 BHK Independent Floors and low-density signature villas, designed for premium luxury living, with adequate open spaces. Together with 11 acres of lush green lawns, the township aims to provide a green aperture amongst modern urban living.
Typical Villa design in townships most often ends up being a result of monotony and repetition of street and façade elements. In an attempt to break from this notion, the design of the Versalia villas aims to generate an interesting, varied streetscape by manipulating the various elements that comprise the elevation. Taking precedent from the diverse streetscape of cities such as Venice and Goa, the premise of the villa planning is to avoid repetitive dwelling units that would create a monotonous street experience. This is achieved by ensuring that unit edge boundaries are blurred, and variation that caters to assorted choices. A range of 3 and 4 BHK Villas were planned- 420 sqm, 313 sqm and 275 sq m. Volumetric variations were created by rearranging the Built Mass; for example, the large, continuous volumes were identified and highlighted with projections and through material variations. For distinctive villas, these projections were then detailed with pergolas, horizontal bands/ screens in order to create texture in both voids and projected volumes. Therefore, within the same villa type, a multiplicity is achieved to generate a play of volumes, crafting an interesting streetscape within a comfortable, eco-friendly milieu for community living.
