MTA have just won planning permission for two new build houses located within the South Downs national park. The main house is approximately 600m2 and is to replace a cluster of disused 1970's agricultural buildings. The second house is smaller at 314m2. Detailed and delicate negotiations were needed to convince Horsham council to granted planning permission in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The main house is designed with an 'L' plan forming two sides of a courtyard containing a large garden. The other sides enclosed by matching flint walls the the natural slope of the hill behind. The houses are to be built in flint, oak and slate. Construction is expected to start in the Summer 2012.'
