The Beytepe Mass Housing Area was expropriated and designated as a Special Project Area by the Metropolitan Municipality and allocated to the S.S. Housing Construction Cooperative established by the 18th Term Members of Parliament, forming a satellite city with a capacity of 2,200 residential units. The development process of the built environment in Angora Houses began in 1989.
Covering a total area of 140 hectares, the site consists of 90 hectares of residential zones and 50 hectares of active and passive green spaces, representing a new settlement designed for a population of approximately 10,000 residents, supported by its full range of social and urban amenities.
The settlement is structured around a 25-meter-wide main internal artery, with secondary roads branching from this axis and organizing 51 residential islands along with urban amenity areas. The masterplan is defined through four sub-regions: the central zone, and the eastern, western, and southern zones.
