A
retail space with prominent window display was completed for the André
Schlechtriem Gallery at the beginnning of 2008 in New York’s Meat Packing
District. The various functions and spatial demands of a gallery, including
exhibition, trading/depot, office and and a workplace for the gallerist were incorporated within a
single 250 m2 space, negating any need for further subdivision.
Meanwhile, a central service core organises the open space into functional
zones which dissolve once out of use.
