Located in the famous Moganshan scenic district of Zhejiang Province, China, this project is only a two hours’ drive from Shanghai, and a one hour drive from Suzhou and Hangzhou. While immersing residents in its diverse and calming beauty, the main objective behind this design process will be to impact the site as minimally as possible. EDSA’s vision here is to create a 300-key luxury eco resort that will redefine the local hospitality industry and timeshare villas as well as attract the regional market. The resort is targeted to achieve the LEED Platinum and China 3-Star Energy ratings. The project will also demonstrate 5-star hotel hardware with elements of South Asian resort design as well as the influence of local context. EDSA has completed the master planning phase and is currently working on detailed design for Phase I. The construction and the entrance and activity area has begun and the project is proposed to open this fall.
