The old mountain barn, protected by the Superintendence, has been restored respecting the original typology and materials. The style adopted for the interiors has deliberately detached itself from the traditional local interpretation of mountain houses: while maintaining a domestic and welcoming atmosphere, the rooms are essential and the new additions, architectural and furnishing, differ from the existing walls and wooden floors, so as to enhance and integrate them without hiding them.
A new internal staircase connects what was once the old vaulted and painted lime stable, located on the ground floor, with the rooms above, once used as a barn and home. The staircase is characterized by the use of contemporary materials, such as iron and resin, and its spiral shape is housed inside a piece of furniture that also serves as a container.
