The plan perimeter called Cabuçu de Cima because of its correspondent river Cabuçu is located in the North of São Paulo, at the foot of the Serra da Cantareira, a mountain range, covered by roughly 8000 hectares of thick Atlantic rainforest. Cabuçu de Cima is adjacent to the municipality of Marípora in the North and the municipality of Guarulhos in the East. The concept of the plan is based on three elements: The “Gate to the Serra da Cantareira” in the North ("The last neighborhood of São Paulo becomes a Gate to the Serra da Cantareira"), the new district center in the South, and a series of urban design and architectural measurements within the entire neighborhood, focusing on public and green spaces and mobility.
