[Fall 2009] The photographic comparison of Mis van der Rohe's S.R. Crown Hall and Rem Koolhaas' McCormick Tribune Campus Center at IIT investigated the spatial qualities the two prominent buildings. The visual information gathered was broken down into two basic dichotomies: open/compressed spaces and static/dynamic spaces. In order to graphically represent the spatial tendencies of the two buildings, a matrix was created by assigning values to each photograph that determined their placement on a spectrum-based graph.
