Altimetro is a 145 sqm office where a creative team designs tours for extreme sports fans, we thought of a playful and irreverent space to combine with this particular agency. An open plan was natural for creating freedom sense in a small and claustrophobic space with dimly light and thick columns. A floor to ceiling mirror was added to double optical space perspective.
A 15m organic modular wall made up of orange plastic boxes is the project’s main axis, separating service from working areas, capable of serving like a both sided big archivist. A pattern is generated by the repetition and variation of boxes; it becomes translucent and convex where the project requires it.
The floating MDF desk drilled by CNC helps us to delineate workplaces and cool laptops; embracing the thick columns increases circulation areas. At the back corner are located the boardroom, a Ping-Pong table and CEO’s desk made from cargo pallets.
Everything is wrapped in a glossy white resin floor and a matte white background ceiling, dotted with vinyl pixels. We reduced time and cost of building process by using prefabricated elements, modular boxes for walls are cheaper, besides giving us a unique result; a functional and recyclable option for interior designs.
