This house is built on a slope of a hill in the south of Portugal fifteen minutes away from the most popular beaches of the Algarve region.
Atlantic sea as a scenario, by overlooking a long waterfront line, the project is developed starting from some ruins as pre-existing volumes, and develops a two storey concept based on the strong relation with the sea views. Astonishing landscapes are captured internally by the linear development of the space. A twelve meter glazed screen which houses the dining area opens up to extensive views towards the Atlantic sea. Legal constraints drastically limit land move and the use of a local metric stone was proposed to model the outdoor spaces. These textures are shared in coatings, integrating volumetric breaking the arid rigidity site with lawns.
